Refinancing can pay off medical bills.
I did not have health insurance, and I became very ill. I went to my family doctor. She ordered a number of tests. She referred me to a specialist, who ordered additional tests. I had to have surgery, and I had to stay in the hospital for several days. By the time it was all said and done, my medical bills totalled close to twenty thousand dollars. I began making monthly payments, but it was just a drop in the bucket. I had to figure out a way to pay off the medical bills. I refinanced my home, using the equity I had in it to pay off the medical expenses. Refinancing can pay off medical bills.
