The most frequent source of problems about the underside of the feet is plantar fasciitis. This is a result of stress of the plantar fascia which is a long ligament which goes in the ball of the foot towards the heel bone and it supports up the mid-foot ( arch ) of the foot. Any scenario associated with overload of the tendon is potentially going to bring about plantar fasciitis. This kind of overburden may be a result of being overweight, a lot of athletic exercise, standing all day at work or poor feet biomechanics. Therapy of plantar fasciitis has to be directed at lessening the actual load within the tendon.
