I went to sleep last night eventually but not before I had lay there awake for what seemed to be quite a time. It was odd because I felt absolutely shattered before I went to bed and was feeling very tired and sleepy so how come when I lay down in bed my mind wouldn’t let me sleep?

It is the strangest thing that we can feel so tired and sleepy but getting to bed somehow wakes us up. I try my regular relaxation methods which might involve trying to fix my mind on a peaceful country scene and I try not to allow myself to be distracted from that image by worries or problems that try to cloud my mind. Sometimes it works but often it doesn’t.

I have seen mentions of natural cures for insomnia and they do sound great but even though they have some great testimonials I feel I would need to try them out to be sure they work.
