For dna test oral samples are collected from all the persons who are required to be tested for genetic link. For example samples of mother, father (assumed) and the child are required to establish genetic links. Procedure to take samples is simple but very tactful. Cotton swabs are required to take these samples. Cheek cells are required and for that cotton swabs are inserted inside mouth. These cotton swabs are known as oral swabs and cells are collected with help of these swabs. It has to be ensured that these oral swabs do not touch any other place to avoid wrong result. These samples are dried and taken for test.
