You must refrain from alcohol during pregnancy, as to drink during your baby’s time while in utero will cause him or her many severe mental and physical issues and birth defects. In fact, the March of Dimes highly recommends that women who think that they may be in the early stages of pregnancy or who are trying to become pregnant not touch even one drop of alcohol at all!

Even what seems like tiny or moderate amounts of alcohol to you are 5 to 10 times more potent for the baby, than they are for you! Please stay completely away from the consumption of alcohol until your baby is weaned from nursing.
