I had to take care of the drywall in my ceiling.  It was in poor condition, and was a huge eye sore in my home.  I had to decide if I wanted to use spackle or mud to finish the drywall after I fixed it up.  There were many small holes that I used spackle for, but I did need to use mud to tape and finish other parts of the drywall.  I actually needed to apply mud a second time to the problem areas, but it was nice that I could do ceiling drywall repair on the weekend.  This made my home look much nicer.
