I know this might sound ridiculous to some people, but have you ever considered how frightening blenders can be for pets and small animals?  It’s usually a very loud sound for humans, so imagine how it must sound to animals who can hear with a level of acuity that far surpasses ours.  If you’re making some mixed drinks and about to fire up a few blenders, first place your pet in a room far away from the kitchen so that the sound will not be as shocking and disturbing.  It’s just a small gesture but considering all that pets do for us it’s well worth the effort.
