I was sure that I could clean my deck myself.  I just needed someone to point me in the right direction.  After I removed everything from my deck I started by sweeping off the leaves and other stuff that had settled on the deck.  Then I got out the hose and rinsed it off.  It was helpful to remove some of the dirt that was on the deck and it made it look a lot better, but it still was not all the way clean.  I went to the internet and found that deck cleaners with oxygen bleach would be the best product to use to get a deep down clean and it does not use harmful chemicals.
