How Long Will New Deck Stain Last?
I had my deck stained a while back and I am not sure when I should do it again. I am wondering how I would know when to have new deck stain applied. First, I have the product guidelines that say 2-3 years. Then there are so many more factors that go into that. I need to look at how much sun my deck gets throughout the day. Also, the life of the deck stain depends on how well I took care of my deck. Whether I hosed it off every once in a while, or even as simple as sweeping off debris and leaves can make a difference.
