The fourth annual ‘Build It for the Children’ charity home in Windsor, Colorado is being built this year using ICF construction. ICF construction consists of building with insulated concrete forms, which are considered, among many things, a tornado resistant construction material. However the actual groundbreaking was delayed last week because ironically the area was hit by a tornado.

“It is amazing” said Doug Collins, owner of Collins Custom Builders and Construction Management. “We made the decision to build this year’s home with tornado resistant construction technology back in January of this year. Never did we imagine that a tornado would actually strike Windsor the very day we started construction”.
