There are two basic types of hanging hammocks. The first is made of fabric. The second is made of rope. Rope hammocks are regarded to be "The Mother Of All Hammocks". And thus are more popular. But are Rope Hammock also the most comfortable? That largely depends on the kind of rope used. In almost all cases it’s cotton or a synthetic rope. A synthetic rope has some huge pro’s over cotton. Most important: with the introduction of all sorts of soft fibers, comes an end (well, almost that is) to a ‘lazy looking’ pattern of indentation on your back after a well deserved nap in your rope hammock.
