I need a new swimsuit and I need it fast. I have to be on the plane this time next week so I must hustle. We’re off to romantic Little Dix in Virgin Gorda in the BVI. If you don’t know, It’s an elegant resort begun many years ago by Laurence Rockefeller. It’s also pristine and simply gorgeous. We’re renting one of the villas for 14 days so the swimwear I need has to be aok.
I’m looking at Nordstrom’s , my old favorite stamping ground, added to which since I’m in the Boston area I can get to one of the stores pretty easily to make sure the suits I buy are going to work.
Look at this - it’s a Robin Piccone ‘Ava’ Apron Back Tankini Top that ties behind the neck and at mid-back, then drapes open at the bottom. Banded Empire waist provides definition. With a deep V-neck, removable padding, in nylon/spandex. The top and bottom are items # 170197 and # 170198. The top is $90 and the bottom $52 so the suit will cost me $142. Good looker, don’t you think?
I’m headed there in the morning. They’ve got more. And I may look for something a little more risque. The beach is uncrowded anyway!
