No everyone can learn guitar on their own, for some they need the extra support of a private instructor, and someone to ask questions to. For those of you that feel that way I present to you this Learn and Master Guitar review. The following paragraphs should show you that you can learn to play guitar on your own, and it is possible to get the same quality of instruction from dvd lessons as it is with private guitar lessons.

The Learn and Mater Guitar system comes with 20 dvds, 10 cds, and a printed practice work book. Enough content for most beginners to continue learning for at least a year or two. Even for intermediate players there is a lot to be learned from Steve Krenz the instructor on the videos.

Lessons are broken down into segments, and relate back to a particular area of the work book that you can refer to and practice from between lessons. Once you reach a certain level after the theory and technique lessons are done, the jam a long cds are introduced as a secondary practice measure.

I find that playing along with the cds improves my strumming and timing. Something I wouldn’t be able to do if just playing alone. The best part about the Learn and Master Guitar kit is the support you have access to.

Unlike many learn guitar packages this one offers a support forum. Here you can pose questions about each lesson module, receive answers and support. It’s the equivalent of being able to ask you teacher something, but have much quicker access to them.

I think this product is the best out there for the money. If you’re serious about learning to play the guitar, and want to know all there is to know then give this guitar lessons dvd a shot.
