Well there is no doubt about it, The Dark Knight was one of the most powerful Movies of the summer. It has generated a lot of buzz. particularly because the actor who played the villan, Heath Ledger, died at a tragically young age. The film has the intensity and power of the first moive of the latest reboot, Batman begins. The joker is palyed perfectly as a sick and depraved person, and it is an excellent performance. Will Heath win an Oscar? The answer is probably no. First, very few people have acheieved this honor posthomously, and secondly, this movie is essentially a "popcorn flick" not the kind of movie the Acadamy takes seriously.
