I’ve always thought that video games were for couch potatoes and losers. I had no interest in sitting on my sofa twiddling my thumbs all night. I need to be a little more active. That said, the competitive aspect of video gaming did appeal to me.

Okay, playing Wii games isn’t as strenuous as a good workout down the gym, but it isn’t as sedentary as playing on most other consoles. I’m very physically active during my work day, but I don’t like to just spend the evening slumped in the chair. I’m not going to say that the Wii helps you to lose weight or anything, but it’s definitely a good way of warming down at the end of a long day.
