Does your WII overhead? This mos tlikely comes from having connect24 turned on. The contant wifi connection is causing the WII problem. I had the same problem and fixed it by simply setting the system in stand by mode.  But I had another WIi problem which resulted in Nintendo sending me a new WII. I am talking about the 110213 error code. I was not able to go to the WII Shop Channel. Everything else worked fine. Nintendo shipped me a new WII within some days. So whenever you have a problem, contact Nineto. They are very helpful and getting a new WI shipped to you works pretty fast.
